Built by someone who’s been through it.
Bariwell started with a simple frustration: after weight-loss surgery in Australia, patients are handed a stack of printed diet stages, a supplement list, and told to “stick to it.” What happens in the messy middle — the 3pm supermarket aisle, the family dinner, the birthday cake — is left up to you.
We built Bariwell as the companion we wished we’d had. A phase-aware app that knows exactly where you are in your recovery — sleeve, bypass, lap band or balloon — and gives plain-English answers to the questions bariatric patients actually ask: Can I eat this? Is this too soon? How much protein have I really had today?
What guides us
- Australian first. Aussie recipes, Aussie supplements, grams and millilitres — no imperial conversion tax.
- Clinician-aligned. Our phase timings follow standard bariatric protocols. We complement your surgeon; we don’t replace them.
- Peer-led. The strongest signal in recovery is another patient a few months ahead of you. The community sits at the centre of the app.
- Judgment-free. Real life includes slip-ups. The app helps you course-correct, not shame you.
Who this is for
Pre-op patients preparing for surgery. Fresh post-op patients navigating clear liquids and puree. Long-term maintainers wanting a smarter way to track protein, water and vitamins. If you’ve had bariatric surgery in Australia — or you’re about to — Bariwell is for you.
